ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM

ACCO NET

ACCO NET is a scalable access control system with a dispersed structure.

The main components of this solution include: server software ACCO Server and ACCO-NT2 control panels. The executive devices are the door controllers from ACCO-KP series, which are connected to the readers used for users identification.

Integration with alarm system

  • simplified security and access control supervision in protected buildings
  • INTEGRA partitions and ACCO-NT2 zones integration
    • control of integrated partitions of the INTEGRA system by up to 8000 ACCO-NT2 users – additional rights
    • arming and disarming of the integrated partitions from ACCO NET terminals or ACCO Soft and ACCO Web programs
    • status visualization of the integrated partitions or control panel zones and outputs
  • common event history
  • possibility of programming automatic blocking / unblocking of selected zones of the ACCO NET system in the event of a burglary / fire alarm in the INTEGRA system partition

System functionality

Access rights in the ACCO NET system are connected directly with access control zones. This allows advanced management of individuals or entire groups of users. Access time schedules and passage pathways can also be assigned to users, further defining their movement around the facility. The anti-pass back function prevents using one user ID to enter the protected area without leaving it first.
The ACCO NET system is a flexible, scalable and secure solution. Communication between ACCO Server and ACCO-NT2 control panels is encrypted, which significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised access to the system.

Presence under control

Owing to the possibility of generating reports in the most common formats (XML, CSV, XLSX) and full control of presence, ACCO NET system allows the calculation of presence time according to assigned rules and/or presence calendar. It is also possible to check the current location of the users and the route they have travelled.

Advanced software

ACCO NET is an access control system with management, administration and configuration based on advanced software. Its components are installed on a computer running Debian or CentOS. With client-server architecture, they can be located on one or more devices.
Oprogramowanie dla systemu kontroli dostępu ACCO NET
  • The ACCO Server software allows communications between an unlimited number of access control panels. This creates a distributed, scalable and global system, that can manage any number of sites. Communication is carried out via encrypted TCP/IP transmission.
  • The ACCO-DB database stores information on system configuration and structure, credentials of up to 65,000 users, and an unlimited number of events.
  • ACCO Web server provides managed access to monitored sites via a web browser – from anywhere in the world.

ACCO-NT2 access control panel

  • Is responsible for communication between the door controllers and the ACCO Server
  • Features two RS-485 buses with a maximum length of 2,400 metres
  • Allows connection of up to 255 door controllers to a single access control panel
  • Control panel may be expanded with the following modules: keyfobs, inputs and outputs maintenance. As a result the system offers control options e.g. with barriers, gates, elevators, rollers, awnings or light. The logic functions support solutions allows adjusting the functionality of the panel to fit the investors’ requirements.

  • Each ACCO-NT2 control panel supports up to 255 zones. One zone can consists of multiple single doorways supervised by ACCO-KP series controllers.
  • The USB port located on the control panel board facilitates the first configuration of the control panel for the installer.
  • The APS-412, APS-612 or APS-1412 backup power supplies (with battery connected) power access control panels even during power cut.
  • A single ACCO-NT2 control panel can be integrated with many intruder alarm systems based on the INTEGRA and INTEGRA Plus control panels.

The ACCO-NT2 access control panel can store up to 1,000,000 of its own events, and up to 100,000 events from each controller, in addition to credentials of its 8,000 users.

When the server connection is lost (for example due to Internet connection failure), it guarantees that the part of the system for which the given panel is responsible, maintains its full functionality.

Controllers and terminals

Individual passages in buildings are controlled by door controllers, connected via the RS-485 bus. This enables the communication with an ACCO-NT2 access control panel, and allows to update the firmware of all connected modules at the same time.

The controller can be powered from the APS-412 / APS-612 / APS-1412 backup power supply (with power status control) or from another 12 V DC source.

Each controller within the system is able to store over 24,000 events and information about 1,024 users in its non-volatile memory. With this protection, access control can function even in case of intentional damage to the bus connecting controllers with access control panel. When communication is restored, the access control panel and server automatically retrieve events that took place during the communication blackout.
Terminals used for user identification are connected to controllers. All models offered by SATEL are  equipped with a proximity card reader of MIFARE (13,56 MHz) or EM Marin (125 kHz) standard. Models featuring a keypad should be installed when the authentication method requires to enter a code and/or a proximity card/tag. It is also possible to connect devices using Dallas or Wiegand 26, 32, 34, 40, 42, 56 protocol which broadens the system functionality e.g. by fingerprints verification. It is extremely useful in the case of secret registries or archives. The controller outputs also allow to connect two-way gates or tripods. System operation is facilitated by keyfobs, which can be individually programmed and adapted to the needs of its owner. Each system user can be assigned 4 different identifiers: cards, key tags, codes or keyfobs.

Already operating ACCO systems can be added to the ACCO NET systems.
Simply connect the ACCO controllers to the ACCO-NT2 bus and update their firmware.

System installation

ACCO Server runs on the Debian operating system, a free and open-source Linux software. Debian is known for its high quality, stable operation, and low hardware requirements. ACCO Server can also run on CentOS, an operating system supported by IT security departments in many companies. Both Debian and CentOS, thanks to their great popularity and faultless operation, support the use of the ACCO NET systems by various user groups.
A specially developed installation script helps the installer to prepare and launch ACCO Server, automatically adding and setting the components necessary for proper functioning and obtaining full functionality of the system, such as: MySQL database, PHP language interpreter, WWW Apache server, JAVA and ACCO Web application server.
