We are announcing the end of support for older versions of INTEGRUM and ACCO NET. Below you will find the recommended migration path, the risks of continued use and guidance on securely decommissioning the system.

Information

If you use one of the versions listed below, please plan your migration to the current version. Support for these versions has ended – SATEL no longer releases fixes for them, including security fixes.

INTEGRUM Management system for INTEGRA alarm control panels End of Life2.0 and all earlier versions2018-10-30 (version 2.0)Support endedUpgrade to the current version of INTEGRUM (3.1 at the time of publication). For upgrade terms, contact integrum@satel.pl.

The software is free of charge. Requires a server running Debian 11 or 12, database migration and a firmware update of the ACCO-NT/ACCO-NT2 controllers and ACCO-KP door controllers. Procedure: ACCO NET installation manual at support.satel.pl.

Dates in YYYY-MM-DD format.

What end of support means

SATEL no longer provides

  • handling of newly discovered vulnerabilities or security updates,
  • bug fixes or new features,
  • technical support for these versions (except assistance with migration),
  • compatibility testing with new versions of operating systems, browsers, control panel firmware or devices.

What stays the same

  • The software will not be disabled remotely – installed systems will continue to run.
  • Previously released updates and documentation remain available for download at support.satel.pl.
  • Licences remain valid.
  • We will help you plan and carry out the migration to the current version.

Risks of continued use

INTEGRUM and ACCO NET manage the security of buildings and store users' personal data. Continuing to use unsupported versions involves residual risks that remain with the system owner:

  • Unpatched vulnerabilities – new flaws in the application and its components (operating system, database, web and application server, libraries) will not be fixed.
  • Outdated environment – older ACCO NET versions run on Debian 7 and 8, which have not received security updates from their vendor for years.
  • Unauthorised access to security systems – a compromised server may allow control of alarm control panels or access-controlled doors.
  • Personal data breach – user data, card identifiers, event and attendance history (data controller obligations under the GDPR).
  • Loss of compatibility – new firmware versions of control panels, communication modules and controllers may not work with unsupported versions.

Recommendations until migration

  • Do not expose the server or its web interface directly to the internet. Use VPN for all remote access.
  • Isolate the server in a separate network segment (VLAN) with firewall rules limited to the communication required with control panels and operator workstations.
  • Use strong, unique passwords, limit the number of administrator accounts and remove unused accounts.
  • Back up the database regularly and store the backups securely.
  • Monitor server logs for unusual activity.
  • Plan the migration to the current version as soon as possible – the measures above reduce the risk but do not eliminate it.

Secure decommissioning

After migrating, or when retiring the system, follow these steps:

  1. Secure your dataBack up the database required for the migration and any data you must retain by law or contract.
  2. Stop services and revoke accessStop the server services, delete operator and administrator accounts, revoke certificates and remove firewall rules and port forwards leading to the server.
  3. Change device credentialsChange the passwords and keys used to communicate with INTEGRA control panels and ETHM modules (INTEGRUM) and with ACCO-NT controllers (ACCO NET) if the devices remain in use.
  4. Delete personal dataDelete databases containing user data, card identifiers, event history and attendance reports – including from backups and virtual machine snapshots you no longer need.
  5. Sanitise storage mediaBefore reusing or disposing of hardware, securely wipe the disks (e.g. in line with NIST SP 800-88) or destroy the media.
  6. DocumentPrepare a decommissioning record (scope, date, person responsible).
